Prefer 3-5 years experience. : POSITION PURPOSE:: To manage all aspects of resident quality of life, quality of care, and housing issues in accordance with Licensing Standards for Assisted Living and supervise Assisted Living staff. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION:: * Excellent Management skills. * Daily direct and frequent in person communication with staff and residents is required. * Must be available to staff and residents to respond to questions, provide answers, and listen to concerns as they arise. * Reports directly to the Administrator and confers with DON on nursing related issues. * Assumes 24-hour responsibility for resident care management and supervision of the Assisted Living Unit and multi-disciplinary team. * Responsible for Assisted Living unit’s compliance with the Licensing Standards for Assisted Living Facilities * Conducts annual survey with State Surveyors, creating and implementing Plans of Correction when applicable. * Performs resident assessments and creates individualized service pan. * Determines the initial placement, transfer, and discharge of new and existing residents. * Determines level of service fees, if applicable, that are to be charged to individual residents. * Assumes operational and fiscal responsibility within the department. * Directly acts as liaison between residents, physicians, family, outside agencies, caregivers and staff. * Responsible for hiring, firing, evaluating and overall performance of Assisted Living staff and observes staff of other departments assigned to Assisted Living Unit and confers with their departments heads as it relates to unit specific issues. * Confers with Director of Nursing regarding nursing standards of practice and health related resident issues. * Implements approaches and services to maintain or enhance residence independence and resident satisfaction. * Participates in sales and marketing activities and is responsible for opening and closing contracts for assisted living residents, giving tours, and overseeing all aspects of new occupancy through marketing strategies. EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS:: Bachelor’s Degree preferred. RN Preferred. Operator License Preferred. Minimum 3 years leadership experience Assisted Living or long-term care or other healthcare related field. Assisted Living Manager Certification or able to obtain with first three months of hire.
