Hospice Leadership Experience Highly Preferred : Must be an RN in California to apply : POSITION SUMMARY We are looking for a full-time hospice Administrator who will be in charge of organizing and directing the hospice day-to-day operations and assuring compliance. The Administrator reports directly to the governing body. The Administrator creates and implements effective licensing and accreditation regulations; participates in the creation and implementation of an overall Quality Assurance program; creates and maintains budgeting, account, billing and record keeping systems; conducts all contracting; oversees hiring, orientation, on-going training; retaining and supervision of appropriate and qualified staff and carriers out the organization’s purposes in a manner consistent with the organization’s mission, goals, objectives and policies and procedures. QUALIFICATIONS: · Bachelor’s degree required in healthcare or administration. Master’s degree preferred. · Supervisory or administrative experience in hospice or related health-care field (or education in administration that meets the requirement of this position) · Ability to plan, organize and manage effectively and efficiently. · Ability to make effective decisions under time pressure. · Knowledge of regulatory and financial aspects of the hospice program. · Excellent communication and personation skills. · Ability to read, write and follow directions and get others to follow directions. · Ability to interact professionally and effectively with staff, members of the public and patients and families · Valid driver’s license, and auto insurance, reliable/well maintained transportation. · Able to utilize computers and be comfortable with EMR.
