Part Time - 4 PM-8 PM M-F, 8 AM-3 PM Saturday: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF JOB:: * Participates in all daily operations related to childcare services, membership management and facility maintenance. Includes, but is not limited to, caring for children in day care and children programs, clerical activities, housekeeping activities, laundry, and facility monitoring. * Maintains order and organization of facility’s day care and children operations, programs, and processes. * Ensure children programs integrate with facility’s functions and processes. * Identifies system dysfunctions and works to resolve dysfunctions in a timely fashion. Communicates these dysfunctions in a timely fashion. * Communicates effectively, accurately and systematically with all supervisors, peers, fellow employees, the membership population, and the public. * Establishes and maintains effective relationships with all supervisors, peers, fellow employees, the membership population, and the public. * Supports the organizational operation, goals, plans, and objectives. * Actively participates in comprehensive training of all staff. * Ensures overall Quality Outcome of facility’s functions and processes. * Demonstrates strong customer service skills at all times. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:: * Education:High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred. * Experience: Work experience in child care services preferred. Experience with the public is preferred. Should have experience in safety and health precautions for children. Physical / Special Demands: : * Must bend, stoop, twist, turn, climb stairs, stand for 2 hours, and lift 30 lbs. * Must be able to walk and stand 85% of the workday. * Must be able to tolerate and demonstrate safe body mechanics including kneeling, stooping, crawling and twisting positions 50% of the workday. * Must exhibit good organizational, numerical, alphabetical, reading, and writing skills. Must possess good social skills and poise. Must display good follow-through skills. * Must be able to problem solve and respond quickly and calmly in stressful situations. * Must have good written and verbal communication skills. * Must be able to hear to respond to telephone, overhead intercom, employee and customer inquiries and in turn verbally communicate effectively with employees and customers. * Visual acuity required to read reports, and for the monitoring of members and for operations of equipment. * Cognitive skills required for reasoned interpretation of child care situations along with good coordination and fine motor skills in grasping, adjusting controls. * Ability to ascend/descend 22 steps up to 3 times daily. * Possible exposure to clients with infectious conditions. * Must be able to exercise good judgment and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information related to membership situations.
