Our qualified team of nurses and therapists are available to provide services 24 hours a day, seven days a week: : Position Details:: Status: Full-Time/Part-Time/On-Call Shift: Day/Evening/NOC Schedule: Various Working Hours Start: Various Working Hours End: Various SUMMARY:: The Home Care Aide (HCA) is responsible for the clients personal care needs in an at home setting. Works under the supervision of the Home Care Administrator and performs various services for a client as necessary to meet the clients personal needs and to promote comfort. The Home Care Aide (HCA) will be assigned in a manner that promotes quality, continuity and safety of a clients care. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.: * Performing personal care needs and Activities of Daily Living (ADL) * Running errands as directed by the care plan. * Performs tasks for the client as outlined in the plan of care. * Serving as a companion to client and providing temporary relief to family caregiver. * Providing specialized non-medical client care as instructed by supervisor. * Assessing and reporting on clients condition, including skin care, and significant changes to the Home Care Administrator. * Assisting in ambulation and exercise as instructed by a therapist. * Assisting with self-administered medications as allowed by state regulations, such as “reminders.” * Routine housekeeping including laundry, washing dishes, light vacuuming, and other light household duties. * Adhering to the organizations documentation and care procedures and standards of personal and professional conduct. * Other duties as assigned. COMPANY WIDE RESPONSIBILITIES: Supports a dignified and caring atmosphere with Staff Company wide. All information obtained in the field and company offices, is kept strictly confidential. Protects privacy and confidentiality of information pertaining to the residents and employees. Is respectful of client and family/caregiver environment and client’s personal needs. QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE (Licensing and other): * Current CPR certification. * Must be at least 18 years of age. * Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with organization requirements and is in good working order. * Have a Home Care Aide (HCA) Certification or meets WA State requirements or have the ability to obtain certification within 200 days of hire. Have completed a minimum of 75 hours of classroom and supervised practical training. (Sixteen hours of class room must be completed prior to a mandatory 16 hours of practical training). * Satisfactory references from previous employers must be provided. * Is self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision. * Provides a calm manner when in a client’s home. * Demonstrates tact, patience and good personal hygiene.
