Our pharmacy practice settings include centrally located and unit based Pharmacists  who perform therapeutic interchanges, IV to PO switching, renal dosing, pharmacokinetics, anticoag monitoring, formal fall consults, drug level monitoring, education and other clinical functions.  We use Siemens Pharmacy software and Omni-Cell Automated Dispensing Cabinets, Electronic Medical Administration and bar-coding at the bedside. 

Our team of  Pharmacists and Pharmacy Techs work 10 hour shifts, primary days and evenings with shared rotation of weekends every two or three weeks and occasional nights. Shift differentials for evenings $2.25, weekends $2.10 and nights $6.00.  Asante employs progressive management practices where decisions are based on competencies rather than seniority. Our scheduling practices are designed with respect for a balanced, quality lifestyle. 

Education:  Bachelor's or Doctorate degree in Pharmacy.  Advanced computer skills and general understanding of pharmacy systems.

Licensure / Certification:  Registered Pharmacist (RPh) by Oregon Board of Pharmacy or RPh eligible or schedule for RPh exam or waiting for exam results. Basic Life Support (BLS) certified by American Heart Association required.

Experience:  Experience in hospital pharmacy practice preferred.  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively represent the Pharmacy to the patient and public and to interact with clinical teams.  Ability to participate and contribute to various institutional/department committees.
