Under the direction of the Senior In-patient Dietitian, provides administrative and clerical support to the department in the area of patient diet orders, menus, meal choices, nourishment requests, maintains clinical nutrition supplies inventory, maintains food service supply orders from other CVH departments. High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of coursework in basic nutrition, basic food science, and diet therapy and/or proven record of work experience as a diet office aide. Other courses or continuing education sessions may be required based on individual needs as determined by the department director and/or senior dietitian, to ensure competency. Previous hospital nutrition and food service department experience preferred. In the absence of coursework in basic nutrition a minimum of two years experience as a diet aide in a clinical setting.
