Job Description

  • The Staff Recruiter provides a range of services related to Human Resources for CRMC, in particular the area of recruitment and retention. This person is often the first impression of CRMC for employment and must therefore be a positive, enthusiastic CRMC ambassador in all interactions. The Staff Recruiter must continually strive to provide services for the HR department in the most efficient manner while providing the highest possible level of professionalism and customer service. This position is cross-trained in some areas with the Recruitment Specialist for times of higher recruitment volume and/or any urgencies that may arise in either position.
  • Education and Experience:
    • Graduate of an accredited four year college or university with degree in Human Resources management, psychology, business administration, communication, marketing, public relations, or related field required. Minimum of 2 years of experience in HR, preferably in recruitment. Previous experience in administrating human resources software and a network system preferred.

  • Staff Recruitment:
    • Establishes and maintains a network of contacts to stay current with a variety of areas related to recruitment.
    • Works with the Senior HR Generalists in evaluating areas with difficulty in recruiting and any areas identified as best practices or opportunities for improvement.
    • Participates in strategic integration of recruitment practices, including monitoring trends (internal and external), making recommendations of changes to improve practice, ensuring satisfaction and legal compliance.
    • Directly responsible for Union, RN and professional level recruitment to include appropriate application of union contract requirements for union staff.
    • Develops and maintains effective sourcing networks for sourcing for CRMC opportunities, in conjunction with CRMC Public Relations department.
    • Works in conjunction with Employee Health and Education to ensure a seamless integration for new employees to CRMC.
    • Maintains a thorough knowledge of the union contract and RN Policies.
    • Facilitates recruitment strategy meetings with leadership as needed
    • Maintains knowledge of legalities involved in the hiring processes.
    • Stay current in long-term anticipated workforce shortage and create programs and partnerships to address shortages
    • Prepare offers to include experience credit research and wage data review.
    • Stay current on program trends and oversee developement of retention programs including program communication, implementation, and on-going administration of those programs (e.g., thank you cards, 30 day assessments, employee referral programs, etc.)
    • Utilize surveys and other methods to identify internal areas in need of improvement and/or strengthening.
    • Serve as back-up for the Recruitment Specialist position.
  • Sourcing and educational partnership liaison:
    • Provides leadership and coordination to the Healthcare Occupations Class, Summer Intern Program, student observation programs and partnerships with local schools and colleges.
    • Monitoring and communicating union student status information.
  • Employee Engagement:
    • Actively involved in supporting and coordinating CRMC employee activities as directed.
  • Information System
    • Primary administrator of the Position Manager applicant tracking system
    • Effective utilization, communication and record keeping through use of Position Manager and Kronos
  • General
    • Responsible for oversight and record keeping of CRMC license and certification policy and requirements.
    • Active member in the Lakes Area Human Resource Association.
    • Member of various committees as directed.
    • Demonstrate a Can-Do Spirit when other duties are assigned.
