Director Of Rehabiliation Services
Responsible for providing direct patient care in acute care, sub acute, and outpatient settings. Completes all required documentation, assists with scheduling and attends interdisciplinary conferences as assigned.
Position requires a master's degree or 5-7 years equivalent combination of education and experience in related area.
Position requires 0-6 months related experience.
Required to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. CPR required within 30 days of hire. Stroke Training required within 30 days of hire.
Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides direct patient care and demonstrates entry-level knowledge of assessment and treatment skills.
Maintains accurate and timely clinical records and confers with physician and other health professionals with regard to patient assessment, plan of care, treatment progression and discharge planning.
Maintains accurate billing records and meets expected productivity.
Demonstrates intermediate level computer skills to allow access to and for accurate completion of computerized medical records, billing records and various data based/statistical tasks.
Serves as clinical instructor for students.
Mentors and supervises summer employees and volunteers.
Attends interdisciplinary patient care rounds as assigned and is an active participant.
Assist in departmental orientation of new employees.
