Fort HealthCare's Accounting Department seeks a full-time Financial/Cost Accounting Analyst. This position is responsible for the performance of cost accounting and financial analysis and identification of business financial risk and opportunities. Additional responsibilities are:
Analyzes, designs, and develops program specific reporting for the finance and accounting department, striving to automate report creation where possible.
Prepares significant volume of ad hoc proforma calculations and reports on a wide and ever changing variety of topics affecting the hospital system.
Assumes primary responsibility for cost accounting related processes, including cost RVU maintenance, cost processing, routine service line reporting, data validation and reporting
Independently maintains accounting interfaces and updates to the financial reporting software (Kaufman Hall Axiom). Provides on-going system maintenance and integrations of the various software systems.
Assists the accounting department in report writing, preparation and analysis, as needed.
Assists in the preparation of financial statements, reports and statistical analysis
Advanced Excel skills are required. Experience with SQL and Kaufman Hall Axiom product preferred but not required
Demonstrates initiative and project ownership; follows through with a high level of accuracy.
Requirements: Bachelor's Degree, a minimum of three years to five years of analytical experience preferably in a healthcare setting. Must possess a high level of interpersonal and teaching skills. Must have the ability to explain complex ideas and issues to various levels of management. Computer knowledge and experience with various computer programs and databases is necessary
