The Compliance Specialist works under the supervision of the Compliance Program Supervisor and the Vice President of Compliance. This position is responsible for supporting the development and execution of the annual compliance program, including but not limited to, compliance monitoring auditing, tracking and execution of the program's administrative tasks and other requirements and drafting and issuing reports for applicable agencies and internal departments. S/he will also provide support in driving efficiencies as they relate to the compliance program, the compliance-related assessment, monitoring and mitigation of risk, compliance incident and issue tracking, resolution and reporting, as well as, compliance program coordination, training and awareness initiatives. The individual will be responsible for monitoring any legal and regulatory developments that may impact the organization. The Compliance Specialist works collaboratively with all internal and external customers and recognizes that although the Compliance Department is responsible for the monitoring, oversight and enforcement of regulatory requirements, a customer centric focus is essential.
A Bachelor's degree is preferred but not required. Knowledge of health care compliance regulations and overall applicability of policies and procedures is preferred but not required.
