Job Description


JOB SUMMARY:
Oversees daily operations of Nutrition Services with the direction provided by the Nutrition Services Specialist, Sous Chef or Coordinator. Responsible for preparing and serving patient food according to physician diet order and patient selection; and sanitizing dishware throughout the Nutrition Services department. Performs tasks of serving food to Customers efficiently and courteously in the Riverfront, Sixth Ave Bistro, or Catering Services. Supports and demonstrates Family Centered Care principles when interacting with patients and their families and with co-workers.

EDUCATION:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
  • Serve Safe certification and Food Manager certification with the State of MN within 18 months of hire

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Two years of institutional food service experience preferred
  • Waiting/catering experience is preferred but not required

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Good communication skills required
  • Mathematical skills required
  • Working knowledge of cash register
  • Must be able to follow oral and written instructions
