Under the direct supervision of Shift Supervisors and Administrators, the LVN supervises residents providing a safe environment and provides therapeutic intervention to develop and maintain functional daily living skills of the residents. The LVN also monitors behavioral patterns and physical functioning of residents and recommends changes to the Administrator, while being capable of assessing and interpreting age specific data and incorporating into resident care. This position requires the Ability and skill in evaluation and written nursing assessments, including medical history, as well as, knowledge of nursing practices and procedures. LVN must demonstrate foresight, problem-solving and analysis skills to assure consistent prudent management and quality services and the ability to work independently in specific circumstances. Must demonstrate the ability to practically describe behaviors which are observed in the program environment and the ability to handle confidential resident and staff material/information in a highly professional manner. LVN must have working knowledge of crisis prevention intervention.
Requirements: Graduate of an accredited licensed vocational nurse program or higher degree in health sciences area. Must have a current valid California Vocational Nurse License and maintain current CPR. Must be available to work all shifts, especially night and weekend shifts and possess a valid California Driver's License and a satisfactory driving record (as defined by Casa Colina's Automobile Insurance Carrier's requirements), and have the ability to pass a DMV screening. Must have a criminal clearance from the Department of Justice before employment or initial presence in the facility
