Responsibilities: Makes initial and ongoing assessment of the patient's needs, identifying changes and trends in various physical and emotional, and age related parameters. Utilizes assessment data to develop a plan of nursing care. Implements plan of care modifying and individualizing to achieve positive outcomes. Evaluates the effectiveness of nursing care/interventions against expected outcomes. Documents all nursing care data related to patient assessments, patient needs, nursing interventions, and patient outcomes. Supports the unit monitoring and evaluation process to improve patient outcomes. Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care of adult, geriatric, and pediatric patients. Maintains timely, concise and open communication with entire SDS team, and all departments involved in patients care. May be asked to function as relief Charge RN. Must be flexible to respond to varied work from day to day, and deal with emergencies and changing job assignments/schedules.
Requirements: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Currently licensed to practice as a registered nurse in the State of California. Must have current AHA Healthcare Provider or Red Cross Professional CPR certification. ACLS and PALS within 6 months of hire. Experience in Acute Care and/or Ambulatory Surgery preferred. Occasional Sunday duty may be required.
