Position Summary:


The Clinical Lead (CL) is a nurse manager in surgical services who has overall responsibility and accountability for the operations and delivery of nursing care in their assigned department. These accountabilities include providing patient care, leadership, effective communication, staff development, delegation of duties, and budget support. The CL serves as a clinical and professional role model while fostering growth and development opportuniites for staff. The CL is responsible for the overall appearance of the department and availability and functonality of all equipment. Clinical leads assist with policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and lead regular staff meetings with open agendas. Clinical leads in surgical services have direct responsibility for one of the following areas: Pre-op and PACU, PASS, Operating Room, Surgical Techs, Housekeeping and Sterile Processing Department, Education, Cath Lab, and GI Lab.

 

Required Education/Qualifications:

Current California RN license

Current American Heart Association CPR Certification

Bachelor of Science in Nursing

3 years minimal experience in management of Surgical Services

Computer literate including word processing, standard business office and accounting applications, internet/e-mail


 

Preferred Education/Qualifications:

Current ACLS
