Acts as an advocate between hospital administration and patients/families to improve the patient experience and satisfaction with hospital care and services. The position reports under the quality and patient safety department working directly with clinical risk management and general counsel. Identifies and resolves patient concerns by personal intervention or collaboration with department leaders. Proactively identifies trends in patient concerns/issues and participates in improvement initiatives to enhance patient experiences.
Position requires a minimum Associates Degree in Nursing, Bachelor's Degree preferred. Will consider clinical degrees with an extensive background in risk mitigation, patient rights and education. Minimum two (2) years of clinical healthcare experience. RN License preferred. Previous experience in patient education and/or advocacy and knowledge of patient rights and regulations preferred. Intermediate to advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office applications and ability to quickly adapt to hospital application.
