Pen Bay Medical Center, the Mid-Coast School of Technology and State of Maine are accepting applications for the next CNA apprentice program which begins on January 9th, 2018. This is an earn while you learn opportunity – apprentices will be paid for their time in the program. Tuition fees and books will also be covered by the program. Upon completion, apprentices will be hired as CNAs at either Quarry Hill or the Knox Center.
You must be accepted into the the Mid Coast School of Technology CNA Program to be eligible for this opportunity.
Under the supervision and direction of the CNA Program Instructor and/or Clinical Supervisor, CNA Preceptor and/or long-term care facility's managers, the CNA Apprentice provides direct care to assigned residents/patients.
Minimum Qualifications: Must be accepted into Mid-Coast School of Technology's CNA Program to be eligible to be employed as a CNA Apprentice. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required with the exception of applicant who is attending high school. Attendance and participation in Maine State approved CNA program which prepares the Apprentice to sit for the State of Maine CNA Certification Exam.
