Job Description

  • Basic Description
    • Under the supervision of a physician, manages the care of patients through the performance of a wide variety of health care services, such as patient care tasks, diagnostic procedures, and therapeutic procedures, to include admissions, inpatient follow-up, and discharges.  Oversees daily duties of Hospitalist Advanced Practice Professionals (APP’s), assisting with block scheduling as well as coordination of daily assignments.  Works with the Hospitalist Medical Director and Corporate Director of Physician Services on a routine basis to optimize Hospital Medicine services to CAMC and patients, to include Evidence-Based Care.

    • Degree / Education
      • Formalized Training PA
      • Formalized Training MSN
    • Level of Experience
      • 1 Year Experience in CAMC’s Hospital Medicine program
    • Lic./Cert./Reg.
      • All licensure must be current/valid and from the state of West Virginia.
      • Physician Assistant, Licensed
      • OR
      • Licensed Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive Authority
      • Basic Life Support - Must be certified within 30 days.
      • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support - Must be certified within 1 year of hire.
    • Typing/Word Processing skills required for this position
