Responsible for oversight and management of one or more of the following programs and associated staff within the IT department:
•Hospital/Ambulatory Information System – Cerner
•Imaging Information Systems
•Other clinical applications
May require additional oversight and management of one or more of the following clinical programs and associated staff within the IT department:
•Revenue Cycle Applications
•Provides performance management; project planning and execution, to include timeline, budget, performance and reporting (SDLC); and training.
•Provides direction and guidance to staff which supports existing enterprise and departmental applications and user relationships.
•Develops functional area goals and objectives that support goals of the organization and the common work of the Information Technology Department.
•Develops and executes detail level project plans for large, medium and small projects including SDLC and PM methodologies.
•Performs other duties as assigned
License, Certification, Education or Experience:
REQUIRED for the position:
•Associates Degree in Computer Science, Business Systems, Health Information Management or other related field, or equivalent education/experience.
•6 years of related experience or combination of education/experience
•Experience implementing or supporting Cerner and other clinical applications in a clinical work environment
•Demonstrated ability to work with and facilitate multidisciplinary groups as part of system support
•Leadership ability, have initiative and be resourceful
•Demonstrated project management experience and success leading cross-functional teams
DESIRED for the position:
•Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Systems, Health Information Management or other related field, or equivalent education/experience.
