Performs all activities necessary to prepare, process and distribute bi-weekly payroll, including maintaining the time and attendance software system (currently Kronos) and PeopleSoft. Identifies, troubleshoots and coordinates with information technology, any issue affecting the time and attendance server and its related data collection manager. Prepares and files tax and deduction reports with federal, state and local agencies. Provides refresher training for staff and management on the use of timekeeping and attendance software, including process for transferring time between departments and jobs; educates management on running reports available to them. Performs accounting reconciliations and prepares accounting documents that requires experience in basic generally accepted accounting principles. Documents and updates procedures. High School Diploma required. Associates/Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred. Minimum of 2 years’ experience with payroll administration in a multi-shift organization plus minimum of 2 years’ experience in general ledger account reconciliations, and knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles required. Well versed with Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Above experience in a healthcare-provider setting preferred. PeopleSoft General Ledger and Payroll modules experience preferred. Kronos Time and Attendance Payroll programming preferred. Certified Payroll Professional preferred.
