Position Description:
Under the general supervision of the Director, and according to law and standard procedures provides pharmacist patient care services to the patients of Olathe Medical Center with particular focus on the pharmaceutical management of oncology patients.  Supervises and coordinates the provision of clinical pharmacy services related to the treatment of oncological disease states by providing support and education to patients, physicians, nurses and other health-care professionals.  Participates in regularly scheduled rounds and meetings with oncology physicians and nurses to optimize chemotherapy and supportive oncology care. Represents pharmacy in appropriate oncology committees and provides data as requested.  Provides direct supervision of oncology pharmacy technician and participates in teaching of pharmacy students and residents as assigned.  Is able to function in the role of staff pharmacist as needed.

Position Requirements:
Education:
Doctor of Pharmacy degree & American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited residency or equivalent experience required.
Specialty residency training in infectious disease & Board Certification Oncology Pharmacy (BCOP) preferred.

Experience:
1 - 3 years of experience required.
 
Knowledge, Skills:
Candidate must possess strong organizational skills; Microsoft Office experience; mathematical skills; & verbal and written communication skills.

License, Registration and/or Certification:
Pharmacist Liscensure in the state of Kansas required upon hire. 
Licensed pharmacist in good standing in the state of Kansas (Candidates must be eligible for licensure) upon hire.
