The Pharmacy Operations Coordinator (POC) employs intellectual, interpersonal, and technical skills through the utilization of pharmacy processes. Under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy Services, the POC will:
Ensure that pharmacy is stocked with all controlled/non controlled & compounded medications needed to meet patient needs at all times
Coordinate all pharmacy technician/automated dispensing cabinet (ADC) activities and assist when necessary.
Ensure compliance with all aspects of the pharmacy 340-B program (Contract Pharmacy and hospital outpatient purchasing.
Receive medication order daily & Scan medications into Meditech/Pyxis.
Code all invoices and deliver to DOP.
Maintain correct medication prices in Meditech Charge Master.
Education: High School graduate or certified equivalency (GED) is required. Associates Degree or 4-year degree preferred.
Experience: Hospital pharmacy technician experience and finance experience is strongly desired. Substantial experience strongly preferred. Excel experience required
Licensure: Proof of current licensure by the State of Massachusetts as a Registered Pharmacy Technician is required. Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification is required.
