Performs duties of Patient Registration, Central Processing and Phlebotomy. Performs specimen collection, receiving and distribution of specimens to the appropriate technical departments. Performs documentation of quality exceptions according to Laboratory protocol. This position is included in a weekend and holiday rotation.
· High School.
· Phlebotomy Certification.
· Computer and /or keyboarding experience required.
· Excellent customer service skills.
· 1-3 years of Laboratory experience preferred.
· Medical terminology.
· Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
· Ability to maintain confidential information.
· Detail oriented, flexible, adaptable to change.
· Problem solving skills.
· Ability to multi-task, work independently, and make appropriate decisions following Laboratory guidelines.
