We are looking for Servers eager to earn a steady income and advance in our Hospitality Department . This position is located in Sarasota, FL within walking distance to the shops and restaurants of St. Armands Circle and Lido Beach.
Stock service station, completely and correctly, prior to meal service.Set or reset each table properly, as shown on the table setting layout.Greet residents and guests cordially and take their order within a timely manner, being sensitive to the wishes of the resident.Review menu with residents and present any special items of the day.Utilize the point of sale (POS) system to place all drink/food orders and track resident meals.Retrieve food orders from the kitchen; serve complete meal to all residents and guests in a timely fashion.Maintain friendly, professional relations with residents and guests at all times.Assist bussers in clearing dirty dishes from all tables in a timely manner, as needed.Immediately report any accidents and or incidents to the Dining Manager or Director/Executive Chef.Attend and participate in workshops, seminars, and mandatory in-services as approved or required.Maintain work area, equipment and supplies in a clean, sanitary and organized manner.Work safely; complying at all times with Plymouth Harbor safety standards.Perform of other duties as deemed necessary and appropriate, or as may be directed.
Must be 18 years of age.High School diploma or equivalent.Previous food service experience in a restaurant environment preferred. Must be a detail-oriented person and able to perform duties with great accuracy on a daily basis. Must be fluent in English. Computer skills helpful, with the ability to learn and use proprietary software as required.Maintain high personal standards for performance and encourage others to do the same.Work as a team player. Maintain confidentiality in all Plymouth Harbor, resident, and employee matters.Be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, and elderly, emotionally upset.Abide by the dress and grooming guidelines established for the department and possess good personal hygiene habits.
Must be able to sit, stand, walk throughout the workday. Must be able to lift/push up to 50 pounds.Must be in good general health and demonstrate emotional stability and socially acceptable behavior in order to cope with the physical and emotional demands of the position.
