Nature and scope:

To provide safe, reliable, courteous and efficient transportation service for our residents.

Minimum eligibility requirements:

•High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
•Possess a valid and active driver’s license.
•Meet motor vehicle records clearance requirements.
•Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
•Must be able to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff and general public.
•Must demonstrate the ability to work responsibly as a team member as well as an individual.
•Must be honest, fair, dependable, respect confidentiality and the rights and privacy of others.
•Must practice and promote Affinity Policies and Procedures, Mission Statement, Core Values and Founding Principles.
•Must possess current first aid and CPR certification.
•Must be 21 years of age or older.
•Excellent customer service skills.
•Ability to treat all people with sensitivity and courtesy.
•Must be capable of maintaining fulltime attendance.
•Must meet all health requirements.
•Must pass criminal background check.
•Must be able to perform duties and responsibilities (essential job functions), with or without reasonable accommodation.

Essential functions:

•Drive Community residents to outings including doctor’s appointment, banking and other activities.
•Assist residents with boarding and exiting the bus/van. Secure wheelchair clamps or safety belts as is required.
•Provide a smoke-free environment while transporting residents.
•Prepare the bus/van for operation by performing pre-trip safety inspection. Monitor the ongoing condition of the bus during operation.
•Prepare required paperwork and submit timely as required by the Community.
•Other duties as assigned.:
