A Registered Nurse, under the guidance of the Director, who assumes responsibility for managing the day-to-day operations of the department, implementing operational changes, and evaluating/managing employee performance. Has authority, responsibility and accountability for the management of the department. Ensures safe, cost effective, quality patient services through responsible utilization of resources, delegation, and effective communication in their unit and throughout the hospital system. Supports the staff and other clinical leaders in the department.
Registered Nurse with current Vermont license. BSN required. Master’s degree in nursing and/or health/business administration is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite preferred.
3 years of progressive management experience preferred. 5 years of clinical experience in area of practice with demonstrated leadership/managerial potential which includes interpersonal competence, communication, and excellence in organization.
