Job Description

Position Summary:

Under the leadership of the Director, the secretary is an active member of the Source team that delivers professional health services consistent with the strategic vision, goals, philosophy and direction of the Department and CRHS. The secretary provides clerical and administrative support to the Source staff, maintaining files and records and preparing reports or other documents as directed. The secretary ensures that the Source Department administratively operates in an efficient manner.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Education:

Requires a high school diploma with an emphasis in office occupation and administrative skills or a GED state certification.      

  • Experience:

Requires one year of work-related experience or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

  • Licensure, Registrations & Certifications:

This job does not require any professional or technical licenses, registrations or certifications.

 

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Provides clerical and administrative support to the Source staff ensuring that the Source department operates efficiently.
  • Answer phone calls and direct appropriately.
  • Arrange transportation for members.
  • Classifies, sorts and files records and department reference materials.
  • Receive and fax MIF’s and other documents to providers.
  • Performs general office operations and maintains files and maintains Source medical records.
  • Promotes teamwork on a daily basis by encouraging communication and reporting problems and concerns to the case manager or director.
  • Assists with reports as directed for submission to DCH or other agencies.
  • Assists with the coordination of special events, meetings, seminars, educational/training programs and other assignments as requested.
  • Performs other related job duties as assigned.

 

 

 

 

Standards of Performance:

  • Performs general office operations and tasks, to keep the office working and orderly, as measured by feedback from staff and observation of the director. 
  • Demonstrates reliability as measured by compliance with the CRHS Time and Attendance policy.
  • Demonstrates professional conduct, as measured by adherence to confidentiality, and HIPAA standards.
  • Promotes teamwork with the entire agency staff, as well as other contacts within the hospital, as measured by observations of Director and coworkers.
  • Performs general office operations and maintains files and maintains Source medical records.
  • Develops accurate reports as measured by Director.
  • Adheres to the CRHS Standards of Behavior as measured by observations of source staff, as well as outside and other inside customers.
