Job Description

Med Surg 4 is a 31 Bed adult medical surgical telemetry unit. Our goal is to promote and restore patients' health by collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members. We provide care for a diverse patient population including GI, cardiovascular, and respiratory illnesses. We deliver care with an emphasis on assessment, education, prevention, maintenance, and restoration of health in a supportive and culturally sensitive manner.  


Job Purpose: The Patient Access Representative II (PAR II) position consists of both administrative/clerical functions in addition to the clinical responsibilities of the medical assistant. PAR IIs are essential members of the team. They provide the department the flexibility of meeting both clinical and administrative needs, while contributing to the smooth operation by facilitating patient flow.



High School diploma or GED.

Graduate of a nursing assistant program or a medical assistant program required.

Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.

Minimum of one-year administrative duties in a clinical setting preferred.

AHA Healthcare Provider BLS is required.
