Job Description

SONOGRAPHER - BASIC PURPOSE OF THE JOB

  • Performs diagnostic procedures utilizing ultrasound for diagnosis of disease processes and delineation of both normal/abnormal anatomy as well as pathological conditions in areas of the human body.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum Education
    • High School/GED Required. Completion of an accredited Ultrasound Program.
  • Minimum Work Experience
    • New Graduate or 1 year of general radiology experience required. Sonography and pediatric experience preferred.
  • Required Licenses/Certifications for position
    • Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
  • Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
    • Operate Ultrasound equipment effectively to produce quality images.
    • Ability to work flexible hours and alternate shifts. Rotate on call for evening, weekend and holiday coverage.
    • Able to adapt to new programs and equipment upgrades as radiological field advances, effective organizational and time management skills, effective written and verbal communication skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Heavy lifting, pushing and pulling is required up to 50 lbs occasionally, 20-30 lbs frequently and 10 lbs constantly to move objects of up to 150 lbs. Sudden emergency situations have the potential for exposure to lifting or moving of up to 150 lbs. Frequent bending, walking, sitting, squatting, reaching and standing are required. Keyboard/computer use and/or repetitive motions may be required.

 

RADIOLOGICAL TECHNOLOGIST - BASIC PURPOSE OF THE JOB

  • Performs a variety of diagnostic procedures utilizing ionizing radiation for diagnosis of disease processes and delineation of both normal/abnormal anatomy as well as pathological conditions in areas of the human body.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum Education
    • High School/GED Required. Completion of an accredited Radiological Program.
  • Minimum Work Experience
    • New graduate or 1 year of general radiology experience required. Pediatric experience preferred.
  • Required Licenses/Certifications for position
    • Registered by the American Registry of Radiographic Technology (ARRT) or Registry eligible.
  • Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
    • Ability to operate varies x-ray equipment, fluoroscopic and auxiliary equipment to produce quality images.
    • Able to adapt to new programs and equipment upgrades as radiological field advances, effective organizational and time management skills, effective written and verbal communication skills.
