This is a supervisory position responsible for planning, implementing, and directing daily operations of the Wound Healing & Hyperbaric’s Program. It provides professional expertise in the management of an outpatient clinic as well as the continued development of the wound program. This person collaborates with the program's Medical Director, management company administration, and MMC administration to determine strategic direction and areas of process improvement. The Program Manager works with physicians, patients, families, clinical teams, and outside agencies to ensure an optimal patient experience. The ideal candidate will be a Registered Nurse and will have experience with medical practice management and outpatient clinical operations. The position reports to the Director of Surgical Programs and takes clinical direction from the Program Medical Director, but is also responsible for meeting the needs of our management company as set by its regional director.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Experience in medical practice or outpatient clinic management, including the supervision of administrative and clinical staff.
Knowledge of medical office processes including appointment scheduling, billing, medical insurance requirements, patient confidentiality, etc.
Advance knowledge of nursing and practice and a valid state of Maine RN license. Knowledge of chronic wound management is ideal.
Strong organization, prioritization and leadership skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and other health care providers; a willingness to work individually with patients to solve problems.
Ability to manage complex projects through all phases of implementation.
Able to work in a self-directed, independent manner.
Certification in wound and ostomy management, or will achieve within 2 years.
Certification in hyperbaric management, or will achieve within 1 year.
BA/BS in related field
Experience with electronic medical records and use of Microsoft Office suite.
