The Patient Service Specialist is the first office contact with our patients, therefore must deliver excellent customer service to our patients. Providing general information, replying courteously and patiently to callers queries or directs caller as required to providers and or clinical staff, providing relevant information to providers and or clinical staff. PSS collects accurate data related to appointment scheduling; patient registration detailed messaging and maintains medical record integrity. PSS must be able to maintain composure and politeness, at all times while dealing with patients. The PSS is responsible for maintaining a smooth patient flow. This position requires a neat and professional appearance. To perform all the above mentioned duties the PSS should have a warm outgoing personality, excellent phone etiquette, ability to work accurately, efficiently, to interact effectively and in a supportive manner with persons of all backgrounds. The Patient Service Specialist must be able to work and interact as part of a team and have skills to perform multiple tasks simultaneously. High School Diploma or equivalent. Basic human anatomy, medical terminology, and general insurance knowledge preferred.
