Under the general supervision of the Office Providers, the Office Nurses and the Office Supervisor, the Clinical Care Associate is responsible to monitor patient flow in order to insure efficient and timely medical intervention of patients’ medical needs. The Clinical Care Associate is responsible for the basic clinical duties needed in preparing a patient. In addition, the Clinical Care Associate will work with the nursing staff and the front office staff to assure efficient and effective operations in the practice. The Clinical Care Associate will maintain absolute confidentiality of all patients’ records, medical treatment and diagnosis and abide with all policies and procedures of the practice.
Graduate from an approved Medical Assistant Course or its equivalent in clinical and office support knowledge with previous medical office experience or VT LNA license. Must have prior knowledge of computer operation, and 1-3 years of experience in a medical office setting preferred. Excellent typing skills a must.
Prefer one to three years experience in a medical office setting. Prefer experience with computer scheduling. Excellent typing skills are a must.
Under the general supervision of the provider, Clinical and/or Clerical Office Supervisors, plans and performs duties in accordance with established policies and procedures exercising independent judgment when required. Refers to Provider, Office Supervisor or Practice Manager for advice or decisions regarding clarification of operating policy.
