The HPF Imaging Analyst is responsible for prepping, scanning, and indexing health information. This position will maintain daily workflow, ensuring that records are scanned in a timely and efficient manner to avoid delay in further processing. Position includes scanning loose documents into the Horizon Patient Folder with the highest level of quality possible. In order to ensure timely processing of the patient record, the HPF Imaging Analyst will ensure receipt of all inpatient/outpatient/emergency and DSU patient records; review each patient record for poor original, items that cannot be scanned, patient identification on each document, and will group like documents in the appropriate order. Imaging analysts is also responsible for indexing all documents to the appropriate patient folder and for ensuring each document is assigned the appropriate document name.
High school diploma or equivalent.
B. Training and Experience:
Three years experience in an acute care hospital Health Information Department. Must be able to work unsupervised, be self motivated, with good customer service skills.
Must be able to type 40 words per minute, be proficient with 10 key operations and have extensive PC knowledge and skills that are verifiable through testing or previous job experience. This position requires knowledge of hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
