Responsible for coordination of care to meet identified needs of the patient/family. Supervises the management of patient care utilizing critical thinking and nursing process, discharge planning, resource identification, linking and scheduling patients with required services, monitoring care delivery, advocating for the patient, care planning and evaluating outcomes. Coordinates patient care across the health care continuum, and assists other team members with meeting individual patient needs. This is a full time or part time position which may require flexibility of hours and is eligible for overtime pay.
Minimum two years Med/Surg experience with telemetry required. Completion of an approved Critical Care Core Curriculum program, preferred. Advanced Med/Surg experience with telemetry preferred. Must challenge and successfully pass the Basic Dysrhythmia course curriculum within 21 days of hire. Basic computer skills/experience with computerized documentation systems required.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Required. Diploma or transcripts on highest degree earned required.
Current active unrestricted RN license issued by State of California. Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS Provider required. CCRN or related certification, preferred.
Care of the patient with Pulmonary monitoring and/or support, including ventilators. Care of the patient requiring vasoactive drip medications. Care of the Thoracic patient including management of chest tubes. Care of the post-operative stable Open-Heart patient, including transthoracic epicardial pacing.
