Job Responsibilities:
Pharmacy technicians are persons skilled in the practical and mechanical aspects of the profession of pharmacy. The pharmacy technician position requires a high level of function in specific skills and knowledge.  Increasing involvement of pharmacists with patient care activities has increased the need for trained and qualified pharmacy technicians who are able to assume the more technical roles in pharmacies to relieve the pharmacist of these functions. Pharmacy technicians assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining drug inventory, and maintaining patient records.  Pharmacy technicians work only under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.
Job Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
    • No Experience necessary / On-the-Job Training.Experience in an ambulatory pharmacy setting as a pharmacy technician is helpful, however, it is not required by the state at this time and it is possible to train an individual with no prior experience.
  • PHARM TECH REG MO Registered Pharmacy Technician - MOMedical Terminology- within 90 days of hire.
  • PHARM TECH REG KS Registered Pharmacy Technician – KS – within 90 days of hire
  • CPHT Certified Pharmacy Technician - National(preferred)
  • CPHT NAT Certified Pharmacy Technician – National(preferred)
  • Software Application Skills (e.g. ScriptPro)
  • Medical Terminology
