Position Summary:
Assist with preparation and delivery of meals to Nursing Center Residents.   Maintains area, equipment in a sanitary manner.

  • Assists in the preparation and delivery of all meals as directed by the Dining Services Director or Cook.
  • Responds in a timely manner to the needs of the residents and/or guests.
  • Cleans and sanitizes food carts after each meal period.
  • Cleans work area, tables, floors, and cabinets.
  • Washes dishes and puts items away.
  • Collects and places garbage and trash in designated containers.
  • Follow all Department of Public Health Regulations.
  • Participates in the Critical Quality Insurance (CQI) process by ensuring that all tasks are completed correctly and all quality assurance measures are taken.
  • Abides by the Standards of Conduct which is the basis for the Organizational Integrity Program.
  • Compliance with Health Information privacy (HIPPA) related laws and regulations.


Related experience or training helpful but not required. Serve Safe Certification a plus. Detail oriented. Must be able to cope with mental and emotional stress related to working with persons who are ill, disabled, elderly, and/or emotionally upset. Knowledge of elementary math.
