IT EDUCATION ANALYST

 

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The IT Education Analyst AL is a critical role within Beaumont Health's IT Department.  The IT Education Analyst AL is responsible for working with multi-disciplinary teams to develop training curriculum/materials and conduct classroom/web-based training.  The IT Education Analyst AL will enable and support, testing, education, implementation/Go-Live and documentation for IT solutions with a primary focus on Epic oneChart.

The IT Education Analyst AL can take on the responsibilities of a Team Lead for specific technologies or workflows. This particular role requires technical acumen to help support and maintain our Learning Management System as well as help to develop and design new learning solutions.  Creates positive customer experience and builds strong relationships through consistently delivering effective end user training.  The IT Education Analyst AL will work in cooperation with the Project Team and onsite Provider Support Room Team. The IT Education Analyst AL will travel between Beaumont locations, serving multiple facilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

·         Lead education team for assigned application

·         Primary focal point for project build team in developing education scope and plan

·         Develop comprehensive online training materials in a clear and concise manner

·         Develop and administer performance metric assessments based on core competencies

·         Develop role-based training plans, curriculums, and new training materials for system applications

·         Manages, executes and reviews training materials for quality & ease of use and delivery

·         Facilitate and conduct operational and systems training for end users across the organization

·         Provide elbow-to-elbow and/or remote training support in the hospital areas before, during and after system implementations

·         Provide post-training support to end users, as needed

·         Evaluate and update training programs to keep current with new functionality

·         Develop strong relationships with end user communities, customers, and business partners

·         Handles multiple activities simultaneously

·         Assists fellow co-workers

·         Recognizes and advises managers of trends, concerns and/or issues

·         Recommends process changes and improvements

·         Works with Service Delivery Team to develop and deploy best practices

·         Participates in user group meetings or Superuser Program, as requested

·         Provides appropriate follow up/status

·         Produces Clinical IT newsletters

·         Ability to drive to assigned sites for work

·         Provides on-call and go live support as needed, (24 x 7 support)

·         Participates in special projects, as needed

·         If assigned a team lead role the analyst will:

o   Attend weekly build meetings

o   Develop all respective team Training material

o   Conduct all end user training at all facilities for team assignment

o   Develop new training as requested

o   Complete all team IT Education Communication requests

o   Update all current team training material with new build information

o   Conduct training sessions for providers

·         Other related responsibilities/duties, as assigned

STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS:

Formal Education & Certification:

·         Bachelor's Degree

·         ITIL Foundation Certification, preferred

 

Knowledge and Experience:

 

Nursing Experience, highly preferred

·         Experience with oneChart, preferred

·         ServiceNow experience is preferred.

·         Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage one's own work independently in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities

·         Must be able to maintain professionalism and react to customers appropriately while exhibiting the highest level of customer service

·         Captivate, Lectora knowledge a plus

·         Knowledge of principles, training methods, and techniques used in adult education require

·         Ability to stand and/or orally communicate up to 6 hours daily required

·         Ability to flex work hours as needed (evenings, weekends based on projects)

·         Ability to learn new software quickly and use the latest technology required

·         Demonstrated experience with development of training curriculum, tools, and materials preferred

·         Basic understanding of physician operations, clinical workflows, and terminology a plus

·         Healthcare IT experience in acute care or ambulatory care settings a plus

·         Prior experience with Epic EMR software a plus

·         Strong communication skills and ability to communicate at multiple levels of organization.

·         Customer service orientation

·         Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all

        levels of the IT user community

·         Ability to provide clear, accurate, and timely answers/support

·         General knowledge of Information Technology

·         Excellent personal computer skills, including MS Office, SharePoint and Project.
