The Dietary Aide focuses on Inspiring Purposeful Lives for All through the delivery of quality service and creating an enjoyable dining experience for our residents by:

taking/delivering orders for food, drink and dining requests ensuring cleanliness of dining area, including setting/clearing tables helping the cooks with prep and kitchen clean up pitching in to help with other duties to make dining great!

Experience Qualifications

Desire to act as an owner in day to day decision making and problem solving as well as accountability Proven ability to juggle multiple priorities with success and find joy Previous experience working as part of a team (food service experience preferred) Great Customer service skills, which would include listening, follow up and patience for creating a great customer experience Ability to follow oral and written instructions Self-starter with capability to manage personal responsibilities in a high-stress, fast-paced working environment Enthusiasm for life and adding value to the lives of others

Essential Functions

Greet residents and guest, make suggestions, answer and present the menu Determine where residents would like to eat their meals and help them get situated Stock service stations with items such as ice, napkins, etc

· Set dining room for service

· Answer all questions about beverages and the food

Take orders and send them to cook Ensure quality service in the dining room and serve meals Prepare and serve dessert and beverages Help with preparation and delivery of room trays as needed Apply health regulations relating to cleanliness Comply with equipment usage guidelines Comply with maintenance guidelines for cleanliness and sanitation of the dining area Clean and clear the dining room tables Clear and prepare dishes for dish machine Load,run and unload dish machine Clean food preparation and production areas as required. Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the dining program as directed by the Culinary Manager or immediate supervisor. Any and all other cleaning/organizational tasks required. Empty trash receptacles and properly haul to dumpsters Help maintain clean floor areas in kitchen area (including walk-in cooler and freezer). Assist in properly stocking any deliveries. Assist in any or all nightly cleaning duties. Perform additional tasks requested/required by chef or appropriate kitchen supervisor
