Job Description

VCU Health System's CMH Marketing is seeking a full time Digital Marketing Specialist.  The Digital Marketing Specialist develops digital marketing strategies to attract internal/external customers to VCU Health's online presence and supports the strategic vision of the Department of Communications, Marketing and Enterprise Analytics and/or other areas within the Healthsystem. Ensures implementation of marketing strategies align with goals for online services. Analyzes online statistics and helps identify the best practice to optimize online marketing performance. Leads the development of digital marketing content and exploration of online channels. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.

Level and type of experience REQUIRED

Minimum 3 years of related experience

Working knowledge of Content Management Systems (CMS), HTML, SharePoint, Office 365, and CRM

Project management experience

Experience with SEO, search engine marketing, and web-based technologies

Experience with analytic tools

Level and type of experience PREFERRED

Minimum 5 years of related experience

Supervisory or management experience

Experience in a healthcare environment

Experience working with a marketing call center

Knowledge of marketing automation

Experience working with external vendors and consultants

Education/training REQUIRED (Note: work experience may be considered in lieu of credentials not required by law with HR approval. Eight years for undergraduate degree; Twelve years for Graduate degree. Work experience must be specific to role)

Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or closely field from an accredited program

Education/training PREFERRED

Master's Degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or related field
