JOB SUMMARY:
Are you known for your attention to detail?  Like Quality Control data, Levy Jennings charts, and solving problems using your critical thinking skills?  This is your next position! 

Seeking generalist proficient in performing highly complex testing in all areas of the laboratory, including hematology, chemistry, & blood banking.  Accurately performs & evaluates QC, performs preventative maintenance, troubleshoots equipment. Possess problem solving as well as people skills,  Proficient at computer related programs.  Interacts with other healthcare professionals in the interpretation of test results and problem solving. Some phlebotomy required.

 EDUCATION/LICENSURE:
Certified as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (formerly Medical Technologist) by: American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP), or American Medical Technologist (AMT), or National Certifying Agency (NCA), or Department of Health, Education and Welfare (HEW), or have a Bachelor’s Degree in a Biological Science or Chemistry with proven proficiency in Laboratory science.   Must possess active Washington State Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist Certification.  If does not possess on date of hire, must begin a training program at time of hire that meets WAC requirements, complete the Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist Certification training program, and submit an application to the DOH within 90 days of starting the phlebotomy training program.Must complete aone time HIV/Aids training prior to PC certification.   


This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement between EvergreenHealth Monroe and United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW), Local 21.
