Thiskey Outpatient Oncology Clinical Pharmacist, Bone Marrow Transplant role, basedat our UCHealth Anschutz Medical Campus, Aurora, CO provides comprehensivepharmaceutical care to Bone Marrow Transplant patients to assure safe andeffective drug therapy.




TheOutpatient Bone Marrow Transplant team at UCHealth, Anschutz Medical Campus, isgrowing rapidly and offers exciting opportunities to build, and be part of avery rewarding practice.  The successful candidate will requireindependent decision-making, clinical judgement, and in-depth knowledge of BoneMarrow Transplant and therapeutics. We are looking for a team oriented,patient-focused individual with a PGY2 residency in Oncology, or PGY1 residency+ 5 years of Oncology Clinical experience, or no residency and 7 years ofOncology Clinical experience.


TheOutpatient Bone Marrow Transplant Clinical Pharmacist will work withphysicians, nursing staff, and other pharmacists to maximize the benefits ofdrug therapies and minimize toxicities.  The daily activities of the BoneMarrow Transplant Clinical Pharmacist are diverse and will include, but are notlimited to, patient education, medication therapy management, and creating andvalidating protocols and treatment plans in order to assure safe and effectivedrug therapy.

Coordinates andprovides the pharmaceutical care of patients for an assigned clinical unit.


Job duties

·        Manages pharmaceutical care and protocols as a part of aninterdisciplinary team. 

·        Reviews, interprets and evaluates medicationorders to identify, prevent and resolve potential or actual drug-relatedproblems. 

·        Provides drug information and education tomedical professionals, students, and patients.

·        Documents interventions and their outcomes foruse in drug therapy quality improvement efforts.


·        Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from an accreditedSchool of Pharmacy.

·        State licensure as a Pharmacist.


·        Previous Pharmacist inpatient hospital experience..
