Job Description

EDUCATION: Masters Degree in Nurse Anesthesiology required. 

EXPERIENCE: 2 years related experience preferred, new grads welcome. Focus in epidurals, spinals, and ultrasound-guided regional Anesthesia preferred. Experience in neuro-anesthesia, related to surgery for the nervous system, brain, and spinal cord preferred. 

CERTIFICATE, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: 

 

  • Current license to practice nursing (RN) and area(s) of specialty training from the State of Nebraska required
  • Board Certified Registered Nurse Anesthesiologist required
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications from the AHA required 

 

 JOB SUMMARY:  The CRNA is the perioperative certified registered nurse who provides medical care to each patient throughout his or her surgical experience.  This includes medically evaluating the patient before surgery (preoperative), consulting with the surgical team providing pain control and supporting life function during surgery (interoperative), supervising care after surgery (postoperative) and discharging the patient from the recovery unit.
