Job Description

  • Purpose of Job
    • The Interactive Marketing Manager is responsible for defining the overall direction of and growth targets for MHS interactive strategies consistent with the MHS brand. This position manages activities associated with development and implementation of a comprehensive online footprint, to include market and organizational analysis, project management and ongoing maintenance. Applications include, but are not limited to, websites, electronic newsletters, digital signage systems, data analysis and emerging electronic applications.
  • Job Requirements
    • Education
      • Requires advanced communication, organization and management skills at a level normally acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree, preferably with an emphasis in computer science, management, marketing or related field.

    • Experience
      • Six or more years' online experience, including managing strategy development, content acquisition and website development required.
      • Experience with Google Analytics preferred.

    • License/Certifications
      • N/A

    • Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
      • Strong knowledge of website production technologies, advanced knowledge of HTML and experience with recognized content management and email campaign systems.
      • Possesses extensive understanding of interactive marketing and advertising principles, and general comprehension of health care.
      • Demonstrated ability to effectively organize and lead teams.
      • Able to organize and efficiently manage competing tasks simultaneously, problem-solve and prioritize strategic work assignments to meet deadlines.
      • Able to interact and work collaboratively in a team environment with members of the Marketing team, clients, vendors, agencies and other.
      • Advanced interpersonal, presentation, critical thinking and customer service skills necessary to provide service excellence through verbal and written communication.
      • Capable of earning client confidence through identification of strategic issues and effective execution of selected tactics.
      • Proficiency in budgeting, project managementsoftware, interactive direct response tools and conventional web designproducts and reporting analytics tools.

  • Essential Job Functions
    • Manages development and oversees implementation of a comprehensive interactive strategy that supports the strategic goals of Methodist Health System and its affiliates.
    • Manages the incorporation of new features and functionality into the MHS website, ensuring the ongoing viability of the website as a key communications/business tools for MHS clients.
    • Directs ongoing development and management of the content, structure, visuals, design and optimization of MHS websites to drive organic and paid traffic, ensuring consistency with the MHS brand.
    • Provides leadership, coaching, guidance, performance objective setting and supervision of Digital Content Support Specialist.
    • Writes, and provides guidance on efforts, to improve search engine optimization and search results through web content.
    • Coordinates paid online social media campaigns and analyzes and adjusts campaign messaging to maximize efforts.
    • Continuously monitors industry trends, emerging technologies and applications, making and implementing recommendations for incorporating such changes into MHS online operations and associated work units.
    • Manages partnership with external agencies and consultants as required.
    • Tracks, reports and analyzes key digital communications metrics from multiple resources creating a comprehensive narrative of MHS’ online presence in comparison to external benchmarks.
    • Interfaces with MHS Information Technology to ensure sufficient hardware and software resources are available to support existing and planned interactive initiatives; functions as the primary communications link between the administrative/technical staff and web development team members.
    • Directs the assessment, development, maintenance and enhancement of web-based databases and applications.
    • Assigns and manages all Interactive projects; continuously updating project priorities in order to achieve client goals within established timeline and budget.
    • Works in tandem with Senior Director of Marketing to develop and manage interactive budget, including website development and maintenance.
    • Provides input and assistance to internal and external publications produced by the Marketing Department; deploys print publications to web environment.
    • Embraces, supports and models the Leadership Standards of Behavior, supports compliance for the Administrative Policies/Procedures, support the Mission, Vision and Values of MHS.
    • Responsible for protection of the MHS brand, corporate image and reputation.
    • Participates in mandatory in-services and/or CE programs as mandated by policies and procedures/external agencies and as directed by management.
