Job Description

Required: Current Connecticut licensure in discipline. Experience preferred, new graduate considered. Certification in Lymphedema preferred, interest in treating lymphedema patients required. The Occupational Therapist provides quality occupational therapy services, including evaluation, consultation and on-going treatment and education to patients and their caregivers. The Occupational Therapist provides education and therapeutic services to patients with a broad range of acute and chronic medical and surgical conditions, including Lyphedema. Would provide services primarily in outpatient location and if qualified,  in acute care setting also .  Assesses patients and establishes appropriate, measurable and functional goals based on evaluation. Successfully demonstrates discipline skills testing. Anticipates/initiates patient discharge needs related to equipment, environmental barriers and community re-entry. Provides education to the patient, family and caregiver(s). Maintains patient records and documents all patient care. Strong interpersonal, decision making and problem solving skills are required. Treatment of patients requires moderate physical effort and occasional lifting of patients during the workday. Hours: Per Diem
