Job Description

Required: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree preferred. A minimum of two years payroll experience. Excellent clerical and communication skills are required. Previous experience with Kronos and PeopleSoft applications strongly preferred. Hospital or other health care setting experience strongly preferred. 

The primary function of the Sr. Nursing Payroll Representative is to perform clerical and data entry activities required to assist in the completion of the payroll cycle for the Nursing organization.  Under the direction of the Patient Care Director, the Sr. Nursing Payroll Representative: 

  • Performs Kronos time file editing and payroll adjustments calculations
  • Assists Nursing Administrative Managers and Human Resources in resolving payroll-related issues
  • Acts as a liaison between the main Payroll office and the Division of Nursing
  • Reconciles Division of Nursing pay rules accurately and in accordance with the Nursing contract
  • Provides Main Payroll office personnel with guidance regarding Division pay rules
  • Administers Nursing bonus programs and audits weekend nursing programs for compliance
  • Implements medical, family leaves and workmen's compensation payments in Kronos according to HR calendars; resolve issues concerning leaves with the HR Coordinator, Main Payroll office and the employee
 Hours: 24 control hours
