Here, you can build a career where you make meaningful differences in the lives of others as we fulfill our mission to love, serve, teach and work for justice.Summary: Gallagher services is seeking C.N.A Residential Direct Support Professionals who are devoted, dependable, compassionate and patient, who have the desire to work with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities in a Residential setting.The C.N.A Residential Direct Support Professionals provide daily care to adults with intellectual and development disabilities, who reside in one of homes throughout Baltimore County, Baltimore City Harford County and, Anne Arundel County. Our employees assist the individuals in accomplishing the following; independent living skills, planning activities in the home and community, and providing appropriate physical and emotional care to individuals to promote growth and development.Key Responsibilities: •Be aware responsive to individuals emotional, physical, social, educational and spiritual needs within the home setting and in the community•Attend assigned Individual Plan (IP) Meetings and provide input/information for the IP meeting process (i.e. assessment, goals and recommendations).•Demonstrate positive behavioral management methods and communicate with individuals served and their families in an appropriate person-centered way.•Complete or assist individuals with daily household skills such as laundry, cleaning, cooking preparation, etc., as needed.•Communicate all medical concerns in a timely manner to appropriate person; carry out medical procedures as directed by nurse or appropriate supervisor. •Administer/Document all medications and medical treatments as prescribed under Delegating Nurse.•Safely transport individuals to doctor's appointments, activities, etc., as required.•Complete general housekeeping and ensure upkeep of the residential home.Requirements:•High School Diploma/G.E.D.•Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license from the Maryland Board of Nursing required.•One year experience in ID/DD or related field preferred. •Valid Driver's license and driving record must show no more than 3 points•Ability to use full vision, hearing, complete range of motion and the ability to lift at least 75 lbs.•Must obtain and complete Medication Certification by an approved DDA course, First Aid Certification and all other required trainings within first 3 months of hire.
