The Registered Nurse (RN) Float provides professional nursing services or supervises the provision of nursing services to hospice patients in accordance with accepted standards of practice and Hospice of Michigan (HOM) guidelines. Performs advocacy and oversight of hospice services based on patient self-determination to assure patient and family/caregiver satisfaction.
RN with 2 years nursing experience in acute care setting or rehab setting is needed in this role. Hospice or Home Care experience is highly preferred. Shift rotation to nights.Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with possession of a current license to practice as a registered professional nurse in the State of Michigan.
Minimum of one (1) to two (2) years of varied nursing experience required; hospice experience preferred.
Skilled in nursing practice with a demonstrated ability to assess and respond to the needs of patients and families.
Ability to use technology (hardware and software) HOM requires clinicians to use in their practice such as computer, mobile phone, printer, pager, fax machine, copiers, etc. and electronic documentation software (data entry for documentation, uploading and downloading).
