The EHR Trainer supports electronic medical records systems by performing the following duties.

  • Assists with support of the electronic medical record system, and other related software applications.
  • Work with Clinical IT staff to identify and develop the training and continuing education needs of all AHN staff relative to the use of the electronic medical records system and other associated applications.
  • Understands templates, and documents, and other set up functionality which affect users of clinical applications.
  • Performs quality assurance testing of systems to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Maintains current information and documentation regarding software changes and enhancements to ensure continued provision of the highest level of service to our members.
  • Provides other administrative support as requested.
  • Communicates issues, resolutions and best practices to team members, administration, and end users.
  • Maintains project status updates, and communicate updates to project management.
  • Acts as a liaison between Software team and AHN practices
  • Assist testing of upgrades to system as provided by software vendor, and ensures that users are updated and trained on new functionality.
  • Travel to remote offices or vendor sites as required.
  • Other job related duties as requested.


  • Bachelor's degree in related field required; and three years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous training experience required, healthcare experience a plus.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Crystal and/or SQL experience a plus.
  • Must complete the NextGen NCP testing within one year of employment
