Description: The Social Worker conducts patient assessments, contributes to patient treatment and discharge planning, and provides individual, group, and family counseling as needed.
Minimum Qualifications: Masters Degree (MSW) from an accredited School of Social Work required. Current licensure in the state of North Carolina is required. LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) is preferred, though LCSWA (Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (what used to be a P for provisional license) will be considered. At least two (2) years experience as a clinical social worker in a healthcare setting is preferred. Experience should include individual, group and family counseling and discharge planning in a healthcare setting. Knowledge of principles and practices of social work is required.
