Independently performs a wide range of Nuclear Medicine exams on both inpatients and outpatients in a friendly and comfortable environment. To include performing high quality nuclear medicine on patients, assuring proper doses and radionuclide’s are ordered for each day. Responsible for the independent operation of equipment, and for performing and communicating results of diagnostic examinations to include but not limited to; equipment maintenance, the report of equipment failures, and quality assessment (QA).   Requirements: Ability to work with Radiology Equipment, Radiology Information System and PACS Systems. Ability to be flexible. To respond to varied work from day to day, and to deal with emergencies and changing job assignments/schedules. Five or more years of experience preferred. Ability to assume after hours “call” work assignments and to respond to the department within 30 minutes of a call. Ability to perform diagnostic exams on both out patient, in patient, and critically ill/injured patients on a regular basis. Exhibits knowledge and understanding of Federal and State guidelines for the performance of Nuclear Medicine procedures and patient exposure to ionizing radiation.
