It includes remote telemetry capabilities and also houses an outpatient infusion area. This 23-bed, patient-focused care center is designed with all private rooms and comfortable accommodations for family and visitors. OPCC is a Dedicated Education Unit (DEU) for the University of Southern Indiana and is committed to providing quality education to all health professions students. Job Summary The Clinical Office Assistant is responsible for providing direct or indirect care according to the applicable state Nurse Practice Act to patients who present with urgent, emergent or potential health problems as well as preventive care. Services provided by the COA will include, but are not limited to, general patient care, assistance with procedures, documentation of activities and patient/family education. The COA will provide care utilizing established principles and ethical standards as well as policies and procedures established by Deaconess. Licenses and Certifications Current certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA) or active licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse in state of employment is required.  CPR provider certification required. Job Status Description This position is a  Deaconess Supplemental Staff (DSS)  position which offers a flexible schedule.
